The one-hour session gave an in-depth update on the local logistics situation for 2020 and 2021.
Our experts, Elisha Camus (General Manager, Sales and Marketing) and Celine Girard (General Manager, Air Logistics), talked about how much the pandemic affected the local supply chain and how this “new normal” is expected to play out.
In their talk, themed "Beyond a pandemic", our experts highlighted that the industry has generally been reactive in 2020. "Each unique market adapted on how they see best to continue the business will ensuring their workforce is protected," they mentioned. According to them, this then created polar situations for logistics players - with some customers completely shutting down their supply chain, and some pushing high volumes to moved.
With more than 80 participants, the session was filled with a lot of questions from decision-makers who are determined to not let the pandemic interfere with their logistics planning once again.
Kuehne+Nagel will continue to be active in such events, and play our part in supporting the local community in facing the uncertainties brought by the pandemic. We thank GPCCI for the opportunity to conduct the event with them.
No one was prepared for the pandemic and what it would entail to continue the business while ensuring the safety of those involved.
